Meet the Doctor

Dr. Mark Guarino

Dr. Mark Guarino is a graduate of The University of Richmond and he received his Doctorate Degree from Life Chiropractic College in 1987. He opened The Guarino Chiropractic Center in 1987 in the Innsbrook area of Richmond. He is the co-founder of the Virginia Society of Chiropractic and has held numerous offices in many chiropractic organizations. Being named “Chiropractor of the Year” in 1995 of Chiropractic by the Virginia Society was an honor to him. He was also honored by Virginia Business with the “Top 40 Under 40” Award. He has had the privilege of taking care of many professional athletes, broadway actors and national recording artists. Dr. Mark is married to the former Lisa Betances and they have two daughters, Catherine Anne and Michelle Elizabeth.

Dr. Lisa Holland

 

Dr. Lisa Holland is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Doctorate Degree from Life Chiropractic College in 1995. After graduating, she was asked to stay on as an instructor at Life University. After two years of teaching various adjusting and clinical courses, she decided to move back to her hometown, Richmond, and open her practice. Dr. Guarino was her family’s Chiropractor and the doctor who inspired her to become a Chiropractor. Dr. Holland specializes in Gonstead Chiropractic. This technique is known for it’s case management and extremity expertise. In addition to being involved with The Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, she is also a member of the Virginia Society of Chiropractic. Dr. Holland is married to Walter and they have two children Palmer and Sage. She also enjoys her three dogs.
